This
is the first tournament that the points count for the 2004 season.
We had 16 anglers at this event. It was a beautiful warm, indian summer
day! Most of the anglers were psyched because they knew that the Nationals
were coming up! Ten of our anglers attended the Nationals this year,
which is the best turn out that we have ever had.
The air
temp was in the mid to high 60’s…bluebird day, with light
winds blowing this day. The water temp was in the mid to low 60’s.
Not many anglers were willing to share information today. Not sure
why. Perhaps it could have been we had a lot of people watching the
weigh in that were going to be fishing the following day….not
the same lake, but just a few miles away. However, I will share what
I know to be used. My first two fish came on top water. My next three
were on a variety of baits. Two were a leech, one on a lizard..culled
a couple with a senko, and jig and pig. Just couldn’t find the
big ones today! Some of the other anglers were using lizards, senkos,
jig and pig, and drop shot rigs.
