Saturday
June 28th, arriving at the ramp at 4:00 a.m. as usual. There was much
concern over weather conditions. The day before we had winds gusting
10 to 25 mph, for those of you who do not know the St. Lawrence this
could throw anywhere from 3 to 5 foot waves. However, Saturday morning
winds were light, and eased a lot of tension. Weather forecast was
calling for 5 to 10 mph winds which was about right. We had 22 anglers
for this tournament which is the 2nd tournament in a row that we had
a full field. Thank you guys for participating!!
At launch
water was flat, skies were clear, a bluebird day. Temperature got
to about 80, I think summer has arrived, finally! We only had 3 anglers
come in without fish. Your host being one of them and on his home
water, no less!
Water
conditions, depending on where you fished was anywhere from the low
60’s to the low 70 degree temperature. Water clarity was again
clear. Like you could read a book at a 10 foot depth. Winds picked
up slightly in the afternoon and we had about a 1 to 2 foot wave action.
