Tournament Report
The
day started out with high winds from the South West making the North
end of the lake quite rough. Wave action was 2 to 3 feet. It was raining
early in the morning and did sprinkle on and off throughout the day.
We only had 11 anglers brave the chilly, rainy weather. A light turnout,
many of the anglers are preparing to leave for the National competition
next week. Starting Oct 1st thru the 6th.
The fishing conditions turned out to be a very stingy bite. There
were only two anglers weighing in a limit of fish. The lures of choice
for those two anglers seemed to be a tube, chatterbait, sweet beaver.
Burnell Haney reported that he was on fish all day and was able to
cull 3 small ones out to take home the first place prize. He reported
catching fish in shallow water as well as on the drops close to weeds.
Tim Finch, our second place finisher was fishing the deeper weeds.
