Redfield Reservoir Report
7-09-2005
This was our second tournament of the 2005 regular bass season. We had a record turnout for the New York NorthWest District. 32 Anglers fished this tournament…Looks like the good word is finally getting out!! We arrived at the ramp at 3:50 am to a torrential downpour. We were greeted by many of the anglers sleeping at the ramp. Although the weather man had predicted for clearing skies …he was wrong once again!….Do you ever stop and think how a person can keep his job when they are incorrect in their predictions so often?? (just a thought) The rain stopped for a short periods of time during the day…returning sometimes heavy and sometimes light. To say the least all the fishermen and their equipment were soaked.
The water temperature was in the low to mid 70’s depending on the areas of the reservoir that you fished. According to the dam schedule they were going to start releasing water Friday midnite tripling the rate of flow, which means we could almost see the water level fall. The water clarity was clear as it is in most of the upstate NY lakes.

The top 5 finishers were:

Mark Hertlein 12.00 lbs
Linwood Poray 10.63 lbs
Vernon Story 10.19 lbs
Don Tripoli 9.32 lbs
Stan McCumber 9.12 lbs

Big Bass:

Mark Hertlein 3.55 lbs
